Christchurch Priory concert with classical music by Mendelssohn, Debussy, Purcell and more

In their 2016 Season, La Nova Singers bring audiences what might be their biggest concert yet: a magical full-length summer concert at Christchurch Priory. The concert will celebrate Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary year, with music inspired by the Bard; and the singers will present Purcell’s ‘Come Ye Sons of Art’ with instrumental accompaniment from The Parry Ensemble. Not only that, but this very special event will feature a world première from emerging composer Ed Scolding. Find out more below.
Meanwhile, looking towards the end of the year, December sees the singers return to Highcliffe Castle for their Christmas concert ‘The Rose in Winter’. This is set to be another atmospheric evening of beautiful harmonies and warming festive favourites, with a slightly later date of 21st December.
